Glenn "Big Dog" Robinson put together one of the great college careers, and the 1993-94 Boilermakers rode it to the first of three straight Big Ten titles under Gene Keady. They also grabbed the #1 seed in the Southeast Region of the NCAA Tournament.
Nobody in the Big Ten had led the conference in both scoring and rebounding since 1978. Robinson did it with 30.3 points and 11.2 boards a night, took Player of the Year honors, and was a unanimous pick for the John R. Wooden and Naismith Awards as the nation's best college player.
"The coaching staff, we thought we were gonna be good. But we didn't know we were gonna be that good."
-Gene Keady
