Danny Nee brought his Nebraska Cornhuskers into the 1993-1994 season with two straight NCAA Tournament trips behind him. A 17-9 in regular season gave way to something better in the Big 8 conference tournament.
Oklahoma went down without much fuss. Then came the season's high point, an upset of #3 Missouri that left the Cornhuskers one win from their first conference tournament title. #23 Oklahoma State stood in the way. Jamar Johnson scored 19 and Nebraska took it, locking up their place in the NCAA Tournament.
"This feels like heaven." -Danny Nee, Head Coach
