Short rétro Florida Gators 1993-1994 coupe extérieur

Nobody ranked Lon Kruger's Gators going into 1993-1994. That lasted about a week. Florida went 25-7, won the SEC Regular Season Championship and climbed to #14 in in the AP Poll by the end.

As the #3 seed in the East, UF scraped past #14 James Madison, then beat Penn to reach the Sweet 16. A 69-60 OT win over #2 UConn left them one game from the Final Four.

Bill Curley, Howard Eisley and Boston College stood in the way. Craig Brown scored 21 and Andrew DeClerq posted a double double as the Gators took it 74-66, the school's first trip to the Final Four.

A five point loss to Duke in Charlotte didn't diminish what the '94 Gators accomplished.

"The hard work. The running. The lifting. The early morning practices and offseason workouts. Now we get to do something that most teams only dream about." -Brian Thompson, Florida Forward
